College Readiness and Access Programming Update

The University of Chicago is committed to helping prepare high school students throughout the city of Chicago to gain admission to, pay for, and thrive in college and excel in their future careers. With that in mind, the Office of Civic Engagement is introducing a new program that will allow us to serve more students in a wider geographic area on the South Side and be more creative in the kinds of services and activities offered to participants. While the new program will mean the Office of Civic Engagement will be transitioning away from the Upward Bound program and federal TRIO programs the University has partnered with for years, participants will continue to enjoy many of Upward Bound’s popular elements, plus an array of new resources.
